Fast Search

MFT entries or FAT folders of existing file system are scanned.

Is used to recover accidentally deleted files.

Complete Search

Fast Search and Raw Search are performed for the logical disk. During Raw Search logical disk clusters are analyzed to determine files or folders. Full list of supported file types you can find here.

Is used if deleted files where not found using Fast Search. Data structures of disk will be analyzed and more deleted files may be found.

Format Recovery

Fast Search and special Raw Search are performed for the logical disk.

Used to recover deleted files from accidentally formatted disk (even if new software such as Microsoft Windows was installed).
